Thanks everyone for your good wishes. I woke up this morning with my tail wagging and high hopes for more of that extra peanut butter I've been getting to take my pills and more of that extra loving and lap time.
The bonk, bonk, bonk of that silly collar is pretty frustrating -- but when I'm up on a lap, or when Dogdad takes me out, I don't have to wear it.
The collar definitely keeps me from getting close enough to a bush to sniff and lift my leg; that's why Dogdad takes me out without the collar -- it's a guy thing!
And it's also changed my precise calculations as to what it takes to jump up on the couch, chair, or Mom's lap. Fortunately, the folks have figured it out and lift me up.
My brother has been pretty cool - he's sniffed me in all the usual places and Mom and Dogdad are keeping an eye on us to avoid any outside excitement.
So all is well -- this is Day 2, and only 8 to 12 to go before the stitches get removed and the collar can come off. In the meantime, half of my face is like a smooth terrier and the other half is like my wirey self!! Will that change my personality? Only time till tell. In the meantime, lots of woofs to everyone!!
I've seen those Elizabethan collars before, and I just don't know how a dog could go about his business being a dog in one all the time. Good thing to get a respite now and then.
Hope the puncture heals up fine. When the beard grows back, no one will notice a thing. Beards are good like that.
I'm glad you're back and feeling better. Please take it easy, we missed you.
Make sure you get lots of rest and LOTS AND LOTS of treats and food from your parents
Balboa and mommy
Your beard will grown back and you'll be as good as new! Glad you're home!
Love ya lots,
OH JAKE...your poor brother in one of those hated collar thingys. I had one once when I had that broken surgery and needed fixing. Or something...(I always smelled a foxy rat with the parents on that lame explanation..) Harry will be just as wiry bearded as before, when he grows out a little. Perhaps a little ice cream will make him forget his pain??!! Come and visit our blog; we'd love to have you over!! Scruffy&Lacie
Hey Harry: Glad you are keeping your spirits up. Don't worry about the beard, the foxy wirey babes have this nurse fixation, you should exploit it for all it is worth! Three of them (3!~) were nursing Jackson at the same time.
Oh, poor Just Harry,
You still look handsome to me, even with half a muzzle. Good luck to you in your recovery. Listen to your doctor and you will be better in no time. Meanwhile, take advantage of your condition and let everybody wait on you and give you lots of treats!!
Lots of Koobuss Kisses,
Your friend Koobie
Hope you feel better soon, Harry, at least you get to take your pills in peanut butter.

Hi you two,
JH sorry about the accident and I sure it was an accident, right Jake? Anyway hope you are better soon and get that darn collar off. My friend Darby in Mississippi is wearing the collar now due to surgery on her leg, she hates it too. Stop by and see the new pics Mom finally got around to posting if you have time. Buddy
Poor you!! I had to wear one of those once and I kept bumping into the walls.I couldn't pee outside either so my PL took it off also.Don't worry about your beard..it gives you character.Love Archie + Agatha
Oh my half naked! I'm marking this blog X rated!
I'm glad you are recovering well, Harry. Be careful not to scratch on the wound. The collar will help you so bear with it for awhile ok?
I'm so glad you're doing well, and know how to maneuver the world a la your cone collar. Be sure to take this opportunity to play onyour parents' sympathies. That collar does it every time!
Hey pal, I'm sure your smooth side makes you look very distinguished. Hope you're getting extra treats aplenty! J x
