Yay Dogdad!!!

It's true!! It's true!!! He built us a fence in our back courtyard!!! It's kind of a "stealth" fence, 'cause in our development, we're supposed to have only tall wooden shadowbox fences, and we didn't want that as it would block the view beyond our place; but it's a fence alright. To "hide" it, we planted a a dozen hibiscus bushes on the common area outside, so they'll soon cover the metal, and we'll put vines on the arbor. (The upside down piece of fencing in front of it is there just until the gap under the arbor -- easy wire fox escape route -- gets filled in.)

Sunday afternoon, we got to explore -- and guess what? We're terriers and we did what terriers do -- look for all the ways to get out!!!

I, Jake, -- remember our "Pinky and the Brain " personas? -- immediately began looking for ways to scale the side wall. And I, Just Harry, explored every inch of the fence to see if Dogdad had forgotten to close off any part of it. No such luck.

We know, we shouldn't be such ingrates (no pun)!! For the first time, except for our visits to the dog park, we were off leash outside and having a ball. But terriers will be terriers, right??

Yay Dogdad. We love you!!! (Mom too!!)

Just been doing a bit of catching up on your blog. A good read.

Now, I am not going to tell mistress about the hibiscus or before I know it, there will be pictures all over my blog.

Good to see you are well.

Oh yeah! Love the Yard!

Me n Teka have been looking at the photos to see if we can find any fence weaknesses at the new house. She is looking along the bottom and I am looking at the top! But I just know that she will want me to do the digging.

ps..Give your dogdad an extra smooch

its so nice they built that secret fence for you to be able to roam around. Don't escape, there are bad folks and lots of cars out there!

What a lovely garden you have. All it needs is a bit of digging here and there.

We like your kind of fence way better than a wooden one! It looks prettier and does the same job. Those Hibiscus will do a good job of disguising it!

Hey Barkalots! Thanks for stopping by, relatively speaking I would agree we are neighbors! Nice to meetcha! Awesome fence! Looks like it was a lot of work so I hope the plants grow before the jack-booted thugs of the neighborhood association see it! Wow you went way back in the blog to see about the corals, I am impressed. Glad to know I shared some knowledge about them- they are in deep (no pun intended) trouble for sure.8-( Did you know it is the International Year of the Reef? http://www.iyor.org/

Great fence!! It really looks good, and it will hide well.

I like the "ingrate" line. Very good, even it it was unintended.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

Hey, Boys!

WooOoOoHoOOOOOOOOooo!

Congratulations on the new fence and the new freedom! Run like the wind! You have one of the most bootiful backyards I've ever seen. Keep looking for those escape hatches. You're bound to find one eventually. Your dad is the GREATEST! Give him a big juicy goob smooch from me for being so good to you guys (aw, heck, give one to your mama too - she deserves it for living with all that testosterone)!

Sorry I haven't been such a good friend. Thesis duty is part of it, but I've just gotten lazy, and then I get behind, and then I feel bad for not commenting on every entry, and ... you can see the kind of spiral I go into.

Thanks for the gentle reminder of your love, and that you actually missed the goob smooches!

Here's a truckload of goober smooches for you guys, and lots of goober love,
Stanley
