Drat. I've done it again. The front door was open a crack Saturday afternoon and I'm a terrier. I didn't go very far (not like the other time). I just wanted to see what was going on at the end of our driveway. So what's the big deal? They were so busy purging magazines and files and taking boxes of discarded stuff outside, they didn't even know I was outside instead of inside. It was only when a neighbor knocked on their door, me in tow by the collar, and said "Is this yours?" that they realized what had happened.
And now -- you guessed it. We're grounded. We couldn't go to Suki's Disney World Barkday Pawty. And Jake is in a snit and on strike -- he won't even blog -- 'cause both of us are grounded and he thinks that's unfair.
I guess it's hopeless, We may never go anywhere again. What have I done?

JH cheer up, we all woof ya. We bet they won't keep you grounder to long, though you may be on a short leash. We like your harnesses by the way.
Almost forgot to tell you, we tagged you with an award on our blog.
Oh Dear. You two are the picture of abject canine dejection. We know all bout the 2/1 grounding special. It's sooooooo not fair, Guys.
Fortunately, you have a dog here who can give you legal representation for just a few scraps of rawhide. Well, maybe more than a few, if WE WIN FOR YOU.
Counsler McScruff is fine tuned in the art of negotiating unfair domestic practices. He suggests you submit a list of your grievances/demands to the hands that feed you. Utilizing body language that demonstrates affection and inspires guilt also will promote positive outcomes. Begging, pleading, and groveling are not encouraged. Everydog needs to assume command of the situation, while allowing the hoomans to feel they are totally in control.
Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. You may submit all bovine products to me; I will denote ur account as paid in full.
Thank you for consulting me in this matter. Do not hesitate to refer to our practice since at this point you are our only clients.
Very Truly Yours,
Scruffy

Oh no! Not again, Harry! Thank goodness you got caught by the neigborhood police before something REALLY bad happened! Stay in your own yard, okay? I would feel much better about this if you did!
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Jake..Lac here. APOLOGIZE. NOW. Whether you want to or not. Ignore Scruffy. And he wonders why he has NO clients. He's all bark with NO advice.
Mine is free.

It is not fair. It is your humans fault. They don't have to let the door open. Do I have to come to explain them it is not your fault ?
Kisses, Faya

We'll try to answer your question. Hopefully, your blog is like ours. Go to your dashboard and click on manage "layout". From there you should have different options for adding a page elements. Select one that says picture. You should be able to handle it from there. Buster is super fancy with his site, so he should be able to provide advice.
Oh, my dear pals. We normally get a 3 for 1 grounding, or if our auntie Ruthie is involved a 4/1 grounding. My advice to you is muster up the worst thought you can possibly think of.. all the remorse, no treats, no fun.. bring a tear to your eye. Go up to your mother and look her soulfully in the eye and just apologize. It normally works for us. We can look pretty stinkin' pitiful. If it doesn't work on your mom... go work on your dad. Someone will cave.
If it doesn't work right away, just lie around the house (on your side) and sigh alot. If the parents walk by, barely lift your head up to acknowledge them. After all, it really wasn't EXACTLY your fault. The door was open. What is a terrier to do??
Harry, Harry. Lac again....You need to immediately go and grovel to Jake, first off. I know, I know...it's a guy thing, like asking directions. But...go and grovel now...and sweeten the deal with a toy u've discarded and GIVE it to Jakie. THEN, when he's on ur side...Work On The 'Rents...both of you...big time, pull out the stops...ASK for a bath so you can curl up by them. Yep...u get the picture.

Oh dear JH. I am a would be escapee too, but ma and pa always keep the door locked as I can open handles! I hope you get ungrounded soon.
I love your spiffy harnesses by the way, very jolly.
Toodle pip,
Harry x
Sorry about the grounding, guys, but fortunately it never lasts long for me. Just bat those puppy dog eyes and they'll forget before you know it.
Been there, done that, and will probably do it again myself...
William Tell
Jakey and JH...don't worry..the advice about guilting out the 'rents is good, but if you are just a bit sweeter than usual, that will work too. Teka is our runner, but sometimes I follow to make sure she doesn't get too far (muzzer buys this one!) I know it is dangerous, and I do think JH should think about how he felt when he was not with your family and reconsider his plan.

Oh, dear - in trouble again!
And here's me thinking of getting a WFT..
You both look sooo sad, so, to cheer you up would you like to exchange Christmas with me?
Just a thought!

Ahh, JH!
Give your mama & dad a little while to cool out, and I bet they'll come around. Until then, could we come visit you guys?
By the way, please don't run outside anymore, buddy. I'd hate to see you get hurt.
Goober love,
Stanley
Hey JH, sorry to hear you're grounded again. I'm sure it won't last for long though. Who could resist?
Please don't run away again though, you're giving us all grey hairs! J x
