So here I am, Jake the Weatherdog and it is only June the Sixth and all of a sudden we have Tropical Storm Andrea with tornado warnings in our area and what do I know about tornados???? These are the sad sad meteorological events that have tormented Oklahoma and the midwest and taken so many innocent lives.
What is a poor Florida weatherdog to do who has no training in anything but hurry canes? Except pray that everyone in the path of Andrea stays safe and hope that, despite the warnings of a busier than usual season, this will be another year when the hurry canes decide to die a lonely death off shore.
Uh, I guess I could remind everyone to check their battery collection, have lots of bottled water, a manual can opener and non-perishable food, including kibble for you know who, a portable TV/radio, etc, etc.
I'll be back...
Your weatherdog pal,
Jake

Well Jake and Just Harry........we sure hope that all of ya are safe and dry........yer peepers too. We just got back ta the Burg last weekend and we sure hope no tornadoes land on our Florida house. We heard from a neighbor that one touched down in Avon Park about 30 miles north of us there. Gram n Pap bought a house on one of the canals ta Lake June in April so when we go back we can watch the ducks and boats cruisin' up n down our back yard.
Here's hop in' that all of those weather forecasters are wrong, wrong, wrong and this hurricane season is a non-starter......keepin' my paws crossed....how about you? By the way my Mom is still doin'' great on her way to good health....no sign of that vicious tumor growin' back yet and we sure hope it stays that way!
Dewey Dewster here........
Please stay safe. We do hope hurry cane isn't too dreadful.

Ummmm...we don't understand. We have never seen a can opener that didn't have a hand crank. Do they run on batteries or sumpin? We just might get one for the muzzer sometime. 'Cept we don't open many cans around here, on account of because we don't get no wet foods nohow!
We thought being within 5 miles of the tornado in St. Loulis last week was really scary. Dad had me and Teka in the bathtub with him. Sheesh
Muzzer slept through it

Jake...you and your family can visit us up here in Canada. We only have to worry about earthquakes...
Stay safe guys. We hope you have been dryer than we have been. We are thinking of getting paddles.

Yikes, you don't want to have any tornadoes. They are very scary. We hard about Andrea coming to visit. Mom is worried because our human brother and family are out on the seas on a cruise that is due back in Florida on Saturday. Stay safe and dry.

Thanks for the warning Jake. I am checking that Gail has all those things in store. After all you can't be too careful, even in Scotland (along way from Tornado Alley).
Toodle pip!

Stopping by to wish you a Happy 4th and to thank you for your friendship.
We want to thank you so very much for your kind words of comfort and friendship after our very sudden loss of Thunder. We are all still very sad, but the support and love from all of our friends from all over the world is helping to heal our broken hearts. We are sure that Thunder Dunder is now in a very happy place and also very thankful to have so many wonderful friends.
