This is just a theory -- but recently some greedy developers here in Florida have tried to remove the wood stork from the endangered list. H-C. Bird was wondering if it's possible that the wood storks have sent out one of their own to wheelie-nap a newborn to hold as leverage???
Just a thought. We don't want to point the paw at an innocent creature -- but Joe Stains asked what is the motivation, and this came to mind.

Ah ha! We get hundreds of wood storks in the lagoon behind our house on Hilton Head in the fall. We'll take a good look the next time we go down there.
Although the photo that Asta snapped looks an awful lot like a great Blue Heron...

Hi Jake and Just Harry! That's an interesting theory about the wood stork. Thanks for understanding about the hiatus. My dad will still be at Jacaranda, either working or playing, though we're putting him to work on house projects when he's home. When our projects are done, we'll see about ending our hiatus - and also, maybe we can meet in person. Zeke's pretty big, but we both get along with all sizes of nice doggies at dog parks. Well, we'll see. Congratulations on your second blogaversary!
See ya!

Good thinking, guys. I think we should leave no motive unchallenged and no stone unturned!
Goober love & smooches,

It is all so perplexing! This is a tough case for sure!!
The plot thickens! I hope the culprit who kidnapped poor Myrna and Gilbert's baby will be caught very soon!

This is making my brain hurt.
We sure hope the wheely-napped baby is returned safely very soon!
Happy second blogaversary!

Well, its a theory anyway. Not sure what those birds think they are going to do with the wheelie once they get it home.
