Weatherdog Report

Well, here I am again, your amateur weatherdog, Jake of Florida.
First let me say, there was little we could do about Gustav. He was marching to his own bark, and paid no attention to us. Fortunately, he spared New Orleans. But we know that lots of places like Baton Rouge and parts of Mississippi got whacked and he brought lots of rain to the Midwest, including St. Loulis. We do know that Peanut and Flash are OK -- except for an AC that broke after the storm had passed.

But now we have more and I have to apologize to all my pals from here to New England. Despite our continual barking, Ms. Tropical Storm Hanna seems to have gotten away from us and is speeding up the coast, bringing heavy rains all along her path from Georgia to the Carolinas, and beyond. We had heavy Hanna rains this morning, but now it's sunny and our flowers and plants are happy from all the rains as we turn our attention to Mr. Presumptive Hurricane Ike. (For those who are older than dirt, pawsonally, Mom liked Adlai!)

Ike's a quirky fellow. A few hours ago, he was pointed right at us. But then he swerved to the south and may skirt the Florida peninsula and go into the Gulf and our West Coast -- leaving everyone wondering what will happen early next week -- particularly, once again, our collie pals in the Keys.

So, the Olympics are over. The two pawlitical conventions are over. And it's back to focused barking for us -- we're still barking for Jackson, and for Gussie, and for everyone who needs it -- while we wait to see what Ma Nature has in store.

The rumors about two wheeled newcomers are getting stronger. We hear they may have an interesting past...and be a bit foreign...and????

Your weatherdog, Jake of Florida, signing off.

Our eyes are on Ike, too. My dad lives in Wilmington, NC and they are braced for rain and wind tonight. He is a crusty old sailor, so he uses the phrase "hunker down" a lot. That's what we will do if Ike makes straight for us. We are glued to the weather forecast ....

We are worried about Ike. Plan is to leave KW Sunday morning and stay in Orlando or Valdosta, GA. The predicted path of Ike will have a lot to do with where we stay.

We are hoping that we will have a home to come back to.

You are such a impressive weatherman!! We hope Ike peters out. We have been tryin to bark away the storms, but they're not listening to us at all!! We are seding good vibes for y'all and we gotta go see the collies.
We will keep barking cause at least Gustav turned out not to be the monster they thought he'd be.

Is it ok for us to add you to our friends? Then we can get over sooner when you post.
Come on over and see us and we'll know it's ok with y'all It's changed a bit from how it started(thank dog).

Oh my Boyz...you are such busy dogs with ur weather forecasting!!!

So wheelies? Hmm...there might be truth to that rumor. Listen to this... Ya know how we play with Bruvver's finace's dog Baylee the cockapoo??? Well...rumor has it a stuffie version of Baylee may be makin' her way north soon. AND...we heard somethin' bout someone "molding Jake and Just Harry's noses"...and while they were dryin' workin' on Baylee's body?????? Any idea what that means????? You boyz better go and check ur noses and see if they lookie different? If not...I'd start checkin' out the front door. Wheelies can pop up ANYTIME! And there is that alleged takeover rumor, too...

Names...hmm...Jackson named Gilbert...Asta named Fiona....do you want old names? You can look at "most popular boy names" by year on the web and look back at the turn of the century...

Ahh...I am full of info, am I not?

Love you boyz...Laciegirl
