Well, I think I'm giving new meaning to the term "going bonkers."
I tried to jump on Mom's lap with my E. collar on -- and bonked her on the chin (no surgery needed, though).
I wanted to snooze in my brother's crate and bonked both sides while getting in.
I wanted to press my nose against the window to see what was happening outside, and discovered that my nose couldn't get there, 'cause my collar bonked the glass.
Still I'm doing fine. My wound is healing. My "smooth fox terrier" side gives me an interesting look. I get to spend time on laps without my collar. I get to eat a mound of peanut butter twice a day from Mom's hand. (She thinks she's fooling me with the pills inside, so I just go along with the scam.) I've recalibrated my precision jumps to allow for the collar. And -- really important -- I get to go outside to do my business without my collar so that I can find the right spot to lift my leg or do one of my three-point specialties.
Mom is very nervous today, as she is trying to work while keeping an eye on both of us so nothing from the outside gets us too excited.
Perhaps she is the one now going bonkers!!!

I'm sure it's a HUGE adjustment getting used to the lampshade! About the time you finally get used to it - it'll come off! I bet you can't wait for that day!
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Hello Jake and Just Harry. Nice to meet you, I'm Tofu.
Just wanted to give you my wishes for a speedy recovery. When I got neutered, I remember we had to go thru 3 collars because they would upset me sooo much. Glad you are taking it better Just Harry.
Loves,
Tofu
AT least you can walk!! Archie would just stand in the middle of the kithcen and not move, until he figured out a way to get it off( I of course helped him do it!!) Love A+A
Be good to your mom guys. I hear she has developed an addiction to British mysteries. Don't tell her about Minette Walters
Hello Jake and Just Harry. Thanks for the welcome to the DWB. I know I have my brother Survivor to thank for that, but boy I sure don't like him. I want to be the only one in the house with mom, but I have yet to get my way. Mom just keeps us apart.
Hope your cheek heals soon so you don't have to wear that thinggy anymore.
Talk to ya later,
Bella
Oh Just Harry, I just read your blog, how awful for you! I am in ridiculous socks, so I sympathize. Mom tells me I will get the lampshade if I bite them off!
Get better soon buddy!!
PS just read Gus's mom's comment. Tell your mom if she likes British mysteries to read any Ruth Rendell book - Mom has read every one! They are not like who done it type murders etc, they are much more interesting!!!Mom loves them.
o dearie, i hope that cone isn't preventing you from licking your bowl clean. is your puncture healing nicely?
loves and kisses,
fee
I hated the lampshade to. Essex laughed at me when I had to wear the lampshade. Dad going bonkers to as he is getting stuff ready around the house and watching the tropics.

Have you tried sitting by the television and turning your head back and forth? If you can change the channel like that, it would drive your MOM bonkers, then she might take it off.

Bonks! I've never had to wear a collar but once I popped my stitches so it's hard to say which is worse.
wally.
Jake and JH, Dog Dad is still watching Dean pretty close. Dad first got in Florida in 97 and got in the Keys in 98 after Georges. He watches the tropics close by looking at the NOAA and Navy Weather sites when the storms are far out.
Hey, Harry!
Sorry to hear about all the bonking, but if Asta is giving you her smoochie kisses, then you will be healed in no time. (They have magical healing properties).
Goob love,
Stanley
Hello Just Harry,
