Oh! Oh! Olivia!

She's here!  A small small person who has lots of toys, laughs a lot, and is very curious about everything within reach. She doesn't have as much fur as we do, but she seems to inhabit the same spaces we do.
She is our 14-month old niece, Ms. Olivia!!!!!

So far she has taken every book and DVD off the shelves that are within her reach. Repeatedly.(We've never done that, but when she does it everyone thinks she is very clever!!! We'll have to try it!!!)

She has read and reread the New Yorker magazine. And she concentrates a lot on putting things together.

She has made mom and dad laugh a lot. They even got to baby sit when her parents went out one evening.

And we are so so excited to get to sniff her and try to kiss her. And play with her toys.
Here's Olivia's mom and dad...our brother and sister-in-law (who is having another small small person in November!)

Mom says we've been very good boyz!!!

Wow what fun, a little WFT sized human to play with! Sometimes I see little humans like this in the park, and they flap their arms in a very inviting way and I want to run up and say hi, but Gail always snaps on my lead and won't let me near. How unfair is that?
Toodle pip!

Oh we are so very jealous. We have been reading through Toby's notes (the schnauzer who raised our sissies) and it seems that you need to stake out the area under her chair because there are periodic food drops. Also, leave the back end alone no matter how good it smells, because the humans freak out if they see you licking at the leaks. He also says that if you put your head on your human sister's tummy, the next small small person coming along may kick you. If that happens, do not growl! Do not snap. Just look startled and put your head back down, you will get lots of pats!

Well, we will send you his notes if you need them for next time. She is a cutie and we would be happy to baby sit if you are ever too busy

The wee humans are very curious beings. They are quite sluggish and uncoordinated compared to fine canines like you and me. I can see that you were patient with her. I hope she rewarded you by sharing her foodables.

Kisses,
Dexter

First of all which one of you boyz looks like a Dalmation???? OMD, I had not idea you had all those spots under those furs....

You boyz seem to have far more manners than we do. No way would we have let her have had food, toyz or magazines. She does seem to be growing some furs...wonder if she'll be wiry?

All those repetitive noises they make....sheesch.

I mean at least when we bark we MEAN something....

Wow! A little person right in your own house must be quite an experience! When I was a pup I had an 8-year-old human friend who would sleep over and drink from my water bowl with me...now she is a teenager and only shares drinky things with BOYZ!

Oh dear.....a diaper jockey....I will confess that I, Dewey Dewster, have been afraid of diaper jockeys since I was a wee weensie puppy. And of course, Toby, is NEVER permitted ta be anywhere near the 2 diaper jockeys that call Gram.....well, Gram. In fact only my Mom is permitted inta the same space as the 2 terminators. The 2 of ya must be pretty well behaved ta be in the same room as the wee little one....'n ta even get ta smell 'em.......go figure.....yer special wires fer sure....Congrats on another pending addition ta the diaper jockey family too....yer gonna need tranquilizers....fer sure....
