Hanging Out at Home
Well, when Mom and Dogdad aren't out and about scouting mermaids and things like that, we do get to spend some cool time at home. Here I (one of the three Happiness of Harrys) am looking less and less like the Phantom of the Opera every day as my fur grows back. And here we are sharing a few brotherly secrets. I (Jake) am telling JH not to be such a silly goose and bite my neck all the time. Is he listening??
This is one of the spots where JH likes to chill. Dogdad was working at the dining room table, and this seemed like a cool spot to be. Jake, on the other paw, likes to curl up in a chair in the living room, with his neck on the edge of the arm. Is that comfortable? And this is how we like to help Mom when she is working. Jake on the bench next to her desk and computer; JH in a bed next to the coffee table -- or actually under the coffee table. She couldn't get anything done without our help -- and of course our barking at every new noise. And what do I, Jake, think about all this? What does every dog think? It's good to be home!!! (But alas, we're off to camp again this weekend as Mom and Dogdad are going to a wedding in St. Louis and then to the Tampa Bay area for another business trip. This time they better bring back photos of ships and pipe and containers or else!!!) Jake and Just Harry
I hope you have a good time at camp. I bark to let Mummy know when there is someone at the door if she is at home. If I'm home alone I don't make any noise. No point in talking to yourself.
I like to go outside for walkies but when I see you like this I think I will ask Véronique if I can stay home sometimes....it looks cool..... Kisses, Faya
Mom says that I yak too much about nothing but somebody has to alert her to every single noise, right? I love that last picture of you with one stand-up ear! I hope you do a fun project at camp!

Well, Jake, I'm not that much of a barker....BUT Lacie is...and it's more of a high pitched girl bark...the kind that sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard...It was windy Friday night...and Lacie barked every time the wind howled. And so did I. Gonna be a long winter for the pinkies.... Scruff
Jake: Born in Joplin, Missouri (a puppy mill for sure), shipped to South Florida to a pet store, found by Mom and Dad in March 2002 -- a lucky, lucky dog. I had to leave for the Rainbow Bridge on September 18, 2013, but my brother, JH, is trying his best to keep our musings musing!
JH: Mysterious puppyhood, turned into a kill shelter after Florida's Katrina, rescued by Lyn Townsend of Orlando, and adopted by Mom and Dad in September 2005 - a lucky, lucky, lucky dog too, except I miss the Jakester.

Jake, that sleeping position with your chin on the chair arm really doesn't look comfortable! You should find a nice cushion.

Hey pals, it's good to find places to sit near our humans. Barking is one of my top priorities. J x
