For Auld Lang Syne

With my thoughts somewhere over the Rainbow Bridge, for my dear Jake, who would have turned 12 this New Year's Day, I visited Bob and Sophie's blog over at the Rickety Old Farmhouse http://bobnsophie.blogspot.com/ and clicked on their link to this perfect version of Auld Lang Syne. A gift from the Scots, written by Robert Burns, and sung the way it should be.

    I want to thank you so much for the lovely card (one of Misery's two favourites this year, and the photo as well). Do you know what she did? She bought enough cards, send the people ones, and then forgot who the extra ones were for! My dogpals of course. Stupid Misery.

    Dear friends,
    To say we are very sorry is to say so little. We feel horrible that we missed Jake's journey across the bridge. It has been so long since we came visiting...

    It is certainly not easy to cope up after you've lost your best friend and confidante, but we are so glad you are doing just fine. Jake will always be in our hearts n we are so thankful we got to know him.

    And hey! Isn't it lovely that the sun always shines out there over the bridge? We have been struggling with some terrible weather here.
