'Tis the Season!!!!

OK pals, Remember when most of us said, "Wait until next year!!"?? Well, it's here!!! Tonight is the start of "next year!" We bought our MLB package last night -- and we're ready. And Mom even found my missing Cardinals collar. Remember when I lost it and she searched under all the bushes on our walkie path? Well months after last season, Dogdad was sitting on my bench and looked down and saw that my collar had gotten caught on Mom's chair. I do have the new one that Gussie sent me -- but it's nice to know that we have a spare.

OK Albert, we're ready!!

So here's to all our baseball blogging buddies: Cardinals: Gussie and Teka; Red Sox: Agatha and Archie; Phillies: Khyra and Koobie; Yankees and D'Backs: Joey and Tanner; Yankees: Ina and her Jeter; Pirates: Lacie and Stan and Scruffy and Dewey Dexter and Asta Marie; and whomever else we may have forgotten. "Next year" starts at 8pm tonight!!

  1. Happy baseball season :) We live in LA but I am from MI so am a Detroit fan. My brother plays for the phillies but I still cheer on my team :)

  2. Oh dear, is it that time already? I think that the picture box will now be permanently tuned into Red Sox Nation for the coming months. Sigh.

  4. You just might get us in the spirit. Especially since we saw some cool black and purple and silver Colorado Rockies collars and leashes the other day. We're always up for a fashion statement. Both of us.

Glad the missing collar is found. Moma is even MORE glad that she's not the only one that loses things for months at a time.

    Play ball! (That's sounding GOOD!)

  5. AHH BASEBALL...the crack of the bat...the smell of hotdogs...

And another year of the Pirate's advertising.

The past couple of years their slogan was:

    WE WILL.

Yep...you don't think that got made fun of?

    Ok...so here's this year's...

    IT'S TIME.

    We kid you not....

Every time we get a good player they trade them...sheesch.

I think I will take over the Pirate's management. I just adore managing...the first thing I'd do is get rid of that black and gold and make them wear PURPLE.

    (Stan and Scruff pass out)

    GO BUCS!!!!!!

Oh...and go DUKE tomorrow night...our peeps are A LUM NIGH...

    Kisses,

    Laciecakes

  11. Hey Baseball Buddies! We will all have a great season this year. We are looking forward to cheering our teams on with all of you. Our mom also likes the Seattle Mariners too, in addition to the Yankees.

Thanks Joan for your kind words on our Easter walk disaster. I think I have decided that rather than make Ginger wear a muzzle I will alternate her and Jeter on walks. I can't take 2 walks... I walk at least an hour to an hour and 1/2. xoxo

  12. BOL Albert!

I am sorry but we cannot get behind the Cardinals but we are hoping for a threepeat in the WS for the PHILLIES (we have the phever, you know). Or good stuff for the Seattle Moaners who were Wally's faves. Or the Cubs for our Onkel Eric.

ps. Wally said if we just root for a lot of teams that eventually one is bound to win. He was a smart little dude.

  13. We have been loving it. Every dog's team is doing good so far, even the Pirates. Well, til they played Mom's Dbacks last night. My Yankees are on in just a couple of hours!!

  14. Baseball is back, yessss. We are rooting for our two or three favorite teams. The Redbirds, Indians and who ever is playing the hated Yankees.
