We're Back!!!

Did anyone notice we were gone for a few days? Did anyone wonder why?

Well Labor Day weekend was the time Mom and Dogdad chose to drive to Orlando and help our human sister fix up her new house. We would have gone too except that she has three cats and a small shy dog and they haven't gotten used to their new digs so the idea of adding two wirey guys like us to the mix didn't seem like a good idea.

So, what to do with us dawgs??? Not to worry!! We were packed off to our very favorite "animal camp" where we each have our own quarters with a view of everything going on and we compete to see who can jump the highest and who can bark the loudest. And we enjoy the attention of lots of folks who seem to like us. We were so excited to get in the car to go there that Mom was a little miffed, thinking that maybe we like it better there than here. Not to worry, Mom, we still love you; but a dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do!!

Anyway, taking a clue from Gussie, we decided to rename the holiday Labark Day.

Mom picked us up a little while ago, and told us all about the things they did: install closet and pantry shelf systems, change light fixtures, move furniture, help unpack boxes. We got so tired listening to her that we did what we usually do when we come back from a few days out and about: we slurped a bowl of water and lay down for a nap. Jake took the floor; I got the couch.

More later!!!

  3. Some camps Lacie and I get to stay in the same room, some not. We won't tell Mumsie what we like better. Isn't camp exhausting!!
We've never come home with Lauren's Gitis, but some of Mumsie's other dogs have. It must be awful; I've heard you can't bark with it. Hope you get lots of snoozies and catch up on your rest....Wiry barks...Scruff

  5. Hey guys!

I suppose nodoggie took any camp photos? You were probably too busy with all that athletic competition.

Rest up, boys! Can't wait to hear more about it!

    Goober love,

  6. Of course I missed you!
When my "One True Love" went on his one & only visit to camp, he came home with Lauren's Gitis too, wasn't able to talk for weeks. He hadn't eaten while away, so was a sorry case, hence no more camp!

  11. Aren't you glad you didn't go with them to Orlando? You had a lot more fun than they did. No wonder it put the both of you to sleep just hearing about it.
