Keeping Watch While Dogdad Works

Our Dogdad has lots of work right now and has been spending long evenings with his lap top at the end of the dining room table. Just so he doesn't feel too lonely, we like to position ourselves right under the table to keep him company. We're sure it enhances the quality of his reports and presentations!! He can rest his right foot on my butt, if he wishes!!We think he appreciates it. And pretty soon he'll stop and take us for our bedtime run on the golf course -- which we will certainly appreciate.

Bye Bye Big Bad Bill???

Woof. Hello Pals and All the Ships at Sea. Just Harry here. My weatherdog brother, Jake, is snoozing now that the ABC's that threatened us as the start of the hurry cane season seem to have moved on:

Ana has fizzled after dropping lots of rain. We're told she'll still send a bit of stormy stuff our way as she moves on. but nothing to worry about.

Claudette, after providing Apalachicola and other parts of our Panhandle with a lot of wind and rain, decided to troll on up into Tennessee and beyond. Hope she's not messing with our Mayemphis pals.

And Big Bad Bill seems to be taking his scary bluster into open waters -- although Bermuda might be in his way.

All in all, this first run-up with the ABCs of the hurry cane season served just as a wake-up call -- or so our Meet Eeyore guys keep telling us..

So, while our weatherdog snoozes, I am wide awake!!! And turning my attenion back to what I do next best -- barking at nothing !! And, of course, helping our folks root for the Redbirds -- and the Great Albert!!!
We love him.

Announcing the Return of Jake the Weatherdog

Rut roh: after a quiet June and July, we are looking at a series of tropical waves, depressions (Ana), and potential hurry canes (Bill) in the Atlantic. Nobody knows for sure where they're all headed -- except for a storm named Claudette on the Gulf Coast -- but we like to be prepared.
Mom and Dogdad rely on me to keep them updated and make sure we have enough kibble in the house for any eventuality -- so here I am back on the job

Some people have too much time on their paws.

Our Mom was watching a dog show the other evening. Among the terrier group, of course, was one of our breed. Slim, elegant, well-coiffed, with facial fur combed forward.

Mom looked at the TV screen -- then she looked at us.

"Hey boychiks, come here a minute."

Not too much she could do with the slim and elegant part, but we do have a certain je ne sais quoi with the comb-over. Right?

Guy Time

Saturday afternoon, our grandpaw came over and we watched some golf on the TV, snuggled, and then took a nap with Dogdad.

Heaven!!!

It's Never a Good Time to Say Goodbye

Charlie, one of the co-founders of the Dogs with Blogs family, left his own family suddenly last night. Everyone who's heard the news is heartbroken by his departure. He was a special cyberpal. He fought through serious illnesses and he shared his unique thoughts about having a pacemaker to keep his ticker ticking.

We will miss his romps and his playful tussles with Opy, the Gruff Puppy.

Greg, Brooke, Opy -- we have no words to adequately express our sadness for you and, by extension, the DWB.
